Product Description
Working Principle of Off-Grid Solar Power Generation System
1. Core Components and Their Functions
Solar Panels (Photovoltaic Modules)
Core function: Convert sunlight into direct current (DC).
Controller (Photovoltaic Charge-Discharge Controller)
Core function: Regulate the flow of electrical energy and protect the battery and system safety.
Battery Bank
Core function: Store the electrical energy generated by solar panels for use when there is no sunlight.
Inverter
Core function: Convert the direct current (DC) output from the battery into alternating current (AC) commonly used in household appliances.
Loads (Household Appliances)
These are electrical devices such as lamps, refrigerators, washing machines, etc., which obtain alternating current through the inverter to work.
2.Working Process (in a daily cycle)
Daytime Power Generation and Charging Phase
Sunlight irradiates the solar panels, generating direct current;
The direct current is processed by the controller, and part of it is directly supplied to DC loads (such as DC lamps, routers);
The remaining electrical energy is regulated by the controller to charge the battery bank for storage.
Night or Cloudy Day Power Supply Phase
When there is no sunlight, the solar panels stop generating electricity;
The controller switches to discharge mode, and the battery releases direct current;
The direct current is converted into alternating current by the inverter to supply AC loads in the home;
The controller monitors the battery power in real-time and automatically cuts off the power when it drops to the protection value to avoid over-discharging.
3.Key Points in System Design
Off-grid systems need to be "tailor-made" according to household electricity demand. The core parameters include:

FAQ
FAQ
1.What safety protection functions do lithium batteries have?
Hardware protection: Over-temperature protection, short-circuit protection, over-current protection, and reverse battery connection protection.
Software protection: BMS (Battery Management System) monitors voltage, current, and temperature in real time. It automatically alarms and cuts off the circuit when abnormalities occur.
Fire protection measures: Some energy storage systems (such as container-type) are equipped with aerosol or perfluorohexane fire extinguishing systems.
2.What should be noted during daily maintenance?
Regular inspection:
Check the LCD display and confirm the battery status (voltage, capacity, temperature).
Check if the connection lines are loose and if the interfaces are overheating to avoid poor contact.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Wipe the outer shell with a dry cloth to prevent dust accumulation that may affect heat dissipation (for forced air-cooled models, ensure that the fan is not blocked).
Long-term idle: Charge once every 3 months and keep the battery level between 30% and 50% to avoid deep discharge.
3.How to troubleshoot when a fault occurs?
Common fault handling:
(1)Over-temperature alarm: Check if the cooling fan is working properly and if the ambient temperature is too high. Reduce the load or improve ventilation as necessary.
(2)Abnormal charging and discharging: Check if the BMS communication is interrupted and if the battery connection lines are loose. Contact after-sales service for battery cell inspection if necessary.
